Barningham Posties
Postman Granda Lee (Richard) with his donkey Gwen on delivery.

We know that he would deliver post during the 1920's and 30's.   His round was Brignall, Newsham, Barningham, Scargill and surrounding area.

Whether he started from Barnard Castle or not we do not know - he may have started from Barningham Post Office.

All this was done with his donkey called Gwen.
