This 1899 letter of appreciation was found in an old set of drawers 110 years after being written!

'Coadjutor' definition:- 'A fellow helper or assistant'.
Many of the signatories were photographed on Miss Monkhouse's retirement in 1902 taken by Eiljah Yeoman outside The Bank Post Office, Barnard Castle.
The following 'thumbnail' portraits are cropped from Yeoman's photo.

By cross referencing the list of signatures, with Parkin Raine's named and numbered print, faces have been put to the names.

He also served in the First World War as a Sapper in the Royal Engineers.
